Over heavy fruit branches may need support

This year due to the wonderful weather in the Spring there has been a very good crop of apples . On some young trees especially this has resulted in branches bowed down under the weight of the crop. As a result there is a danger of the branch breaking. It is well worth checking your fruit trees to see if this is happening. If the trees are over heavy with fruit you can do one of three things. Remove the fruit, support the branch or prune off the fruit and part of the branch.
