Remove seed heads

If seeds and spent flowers are not removed from veg and flowers the plants begin to believe that they need not produce any more flowers. Sweet peas for example should be picked regularly and any seed pods removed. Most Summer bedding flowers should have old flowers removed. Edible peas and beans will stop producing fresh pods if the old ones are not removed. So if you go away on holidays ask somebody to come in and pick your produce while you are away.
